We are pleased to announce tryouts for our 2nd season of WPPA All-Star Softball!

For those new to All-Star, the goal of this program is to offer a more competitive softball option for players who are ready, while still keeping our house program a priority. We compete against other parks on the north/northwest side, such as Hamlin, Oz and Dunham. Tryouts are in the fall, but practices won’t begin until early 2021–all activities will need to comply with COVID restrictions in effect at that time.

1: Players must attend at least one tryout date to be considered for a 2021 All-Star  team.
2: All-Star players must also play WPPA House softball.
3: Players who play on an outside travel team are NOT eligible for Welles All-Star Softball (although they may continue to play in our house program).

10U: Players born in 2010 & 2011
12U: Players born in 2008 & 2009
14U: Players born in 2006 & 2007
Note: Cutoffs are different from last year to align with USSSA dates and other parks in the league.

  • Once sign up is closed, we will send you confirmation of which date your player should attend based on her availability and the # of players trying out.
  • Players should tryout for the appropriate level as listed above. Parents who want their player to be considered for the next level up (due to the age cutoff change) can discuss this with the coaches during tryouts. Players may not play down in All-Star.
  • Teams will be announced at the conclusion of the 2020 All-Star season.
  • The deadline for signing up is SUNDAY, AUG. 23.
