Long time coach and WPPA volunteer Ed Marquez passed away earlier this month.

Ed was a presence within the WPPA community for many years and could always be counted on to head coach and often joined as an assistant coach on one or more additional teams. Ed would go out of his way to recruit players from all backgrounds to the league and was committed to the youth of the community. He worked hard to keep kids engaged with baseball and away from potential negative influences. He was always there for kids that needed a bit of extra attention and support. He will forever be remembered for his dedication to WPPA’s youth – of all shapes, sizes, genders, and colors.

The WPPA community is thankful for all that Ed brought to the program and has his family in our thoughts during this difficult time.
