WPPA Depends on Sponsors

WPPA is a § 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization offering instructional youth baseball and girls' softball for children ages 5 – 18 from the Near North, Lincoln Park, Lake View, North Center, Lincoln Square, Albany Park and River Park areas in co-operation with the Chicago Park District.   As a team sponsor, you will receive a team roster, game schedule and recognition on our web site.   Our Federal Tax ID# under IRS code § 501(c)(3) is 36-4018896.   Your sponsorship could be considered tax deductible.

Every year WPPA relies on the support of local businesses and individuals as part of our annual budget. We ask for donations to support our program in exchange for recognition of their support. These donations are a major part of our funding and they enable WPPA to keep fees reasonable, so that baseball remains accessible to all families in our community. If you elect to become a sponsor, in exchange for your donation, you will receive:

Full Team Sponsor

$250

- All players on that team will wear jerseys that display your name, telephone number, and/or address
- One designated player will receive a full waiver of registration fees ($120 value)
- Placement on our website homepage, www.wppachicago.org, in the rotating sponsor carousel

Division Sponsor

$750

- All players in that division will wear jerseys that display your logo on one shirt sleeve
- One designated player will receive a full waiver of registration fees (valued between $165-195)
- Placement on our website homepage, www.wppachicago.org, in the rotating sponsor carousel

WPPA treats Sponsors as team members and encourages Sponsors to attend games.   Coaches give recognition to their sponsors and invite Sponsors to attend and participate.

How to Register Your Player: The Steps of The TeamSnap Registration Process

Manage Signups

Once you enter the registration system, you'll come "Manage Signups" page.  You can select the "+ New SignUp" button or, if you already started a sign-up, you can return to the existing sign-up.

Enter Participant Info

TeamSnap may recognize your profile and offer to input information already in the system about the player you are registering.   Feel free to select an existing player for whom you already have a TeamSnap profile, or "Create New Participant."   Then, you'll be asked to input information and select certain options for your player.  In addition, you'll be asked for parent information.

If you are registering more than one player for the season, you may register additional players at the same time.  Select the "Import Past Participant" option if your additional player already has a TeamSnap profile, or "Add Another Participant" to create another new participant profile.

Documents & Waivers

Please be prepared to upload an electronic copy of your player's birth certificate to confirm your player's eligibility for the relevant division.   In addition, you will be asked to read, acknowledge and accept these waivers and acknowledgements:

  • WPPA Code of Conduct
  • WPPA Parents' Consent, Waiver and Hold Harmless Form
  • WPPA Refund Policy
  • WPPA Privacy Policy.

Participant Fees

Select the correct registration fee option for each participant you are registering.  If you selected one of our sponsorship levels, you will see the sponsorship fee here.

Checkout

Upon reaching checkout, you have another opportunity to "Add Another Participant" if you want.

Once your cart is full with all registrations you plan to submit, please complete the payment steps, utilizing either the ACH (debit from your bank account) or credit card options.  Please note that credit card and ACH payments are processed through TeamSnap and will appear as "TEAMSNAP*WELLESPARK . . . " on your credit card billing statement or as "TEAMSNAP TEAMSNAP*" on your bank statement for ACH transactions.

Once you complete checkout and payment, you will receive a confirming email.  Please make sure to check your email inbox and spam folder for that email.  If you do not receive a confirmation email, your player's registration will not be complete.
