Rookie Clinic Details

Fall Rookie Clinic (open for players with birthdates of September 2, 2019 through September 1, 2020) will be capped at 60 participants, and will include four, one-hour clinics from 10-11a on each of the Sundays in September, beginning September 8, 2024 (with a rain date of the first weekend in October).  The clinics will be organized by our professional travel baseball coaches, but we need parent volunteers to help wrangle as well, so please note the volunteer option while registering

Fall Softball Details:

The season will consist of eight (8) games (weather permitting), played on Sundays. Games will start on  August 17th (tentative) and run until Mid-October.

Schedules will be released by or around August 9th. No games Sunday August 31st.

  • Based on these age requirements, players can register for only one (1) of the following divisions: 8U, 10U, 12U, or 14U
  • Fall Softball Coaches are encouraged to submit a complete roster of players for their Fall Softball Team. Please reach out to your current coach about roster placement.
  • If your registered player isn't connected to any coach, the Fall Softball Commissioner will do their best to place them on a roster, but space isn't guaranteed. If a spot isn't available you will be refunded.
  • WPPA Fall Softball aims to provide additional on-field experience across all age levels. It is a good time for players to try different positions and improve their softball skills. However, if there is interest from the coaches, and teams created with travel or high level players,  an A League and a B League will be created, if possible.
  • Rising players from 10U and 12U are allowed to move up to the next division for Fall Softball, pending the approval of the Fall Softball Commissioner. "Rising players" are defined as players who finished their second year in 10U and 12U.
  • Rookie players with birthdays between September 1st and December 31st, 2018 may move to 8U softball if there is room on a team's roster and pending the approval of the Fall Softball Commissioner.
  • Fall Softball Teams are not assigned practice slots, please do not request them and please don't reach out to CPD.
  • If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Fall Softball Commissioner at fallsoftball@wppachicago.org

New Coaches (or Coaches who did not coach in Spring 2025 at WPPA) are always welcomed! Please fill out this form and email the Fall Softball Commissioner with your interest.
