WPPA Families,

We have had a tremendous start of the season, and last weekend gave us some beautiful weather.  We hope that everyone has enjoyed the start of our spring season which is nearing its midpoint. As we look ahead to the remainder of the season, we wanted to share some items and reminders:

  • Photo Makeups for HOUSE players:  If your house player missed their photo day, please show up dressed in uniform – and with your bat – to the Welles Park grass behind the field house on June 26 exact time TBD (rain location: Welles fieldhouse).  Stay tuned for more details.
  • Rookie Day at Welles: On June 22, we will play Rookie ball on as many fields at Welles as possible as part of our celebration of our youngest players.
  • House Playoffs: For all levels above Rookie baseball, playoff schedules should be published by mid-June.
  • 12U Cooperstown Auction.  There are some great items up for auction to support the 12U travel baseball teams’ trip to Cooperstown this summer.  Check the items out HERE.  The Auction will be open all week.
  • Park Rules:  Please remember that when you are in the parks, park rules related to alcohol, public behavior and littering apply.  Please do your part to keep our parks safe, friendly and clean.
  • Rainouts:  Thank you for your patience as we navigate rainouts.  As a reminder, we will try to reschedule rainouts, but there’s no guarantee that we will be able to do so.  Thank you to Steve Reaven and Gary Guidi who week in and week out make sure that our fields are ready to go.
  • Memorial Day Tournaments:  Good luck to our travel teams who have Memorial Day tournaments this weekend.  If you see Jeremy Stump (Baseball) or Jason McClain (Softball) walking around the fields, please be sure to thank them for all their hard work.
  • Fall Ball: Hard to believe but, we are already working on Fall Ball as a board.  More to come soon, but start thinking about team formation and making room in your family schedule.  Registration will open in June!
